Shape of youとは？
イギリス生まれのエドシーランですが、ビルボードのUKチャート13週間・USチャートでは12週間連続で1位を獲得しました。
また、世界最大手音楽サービスであるspotifyでは、史上最多再生回数の記録を更新するくらい全世界で人気の曲です。Youtubeの公式MVの再生回数は約34億回(15/04/2018時点)。
様々な音楽業界の記録をぬりかえた曲になっています。
どんな歌？
直訳すると“君の身体”という意味になりますが、真面目な少年が年上に女性に恋するさまを歌っています。
バーで彼女と出会ってから付き合うまでの様子やどんなに彼女のことを愛しているのかを多彩な表現で伝えています。特にサビの部分は彼女に向けてのメッセージのようです。
